EUREKA LEMON (Citrus limon 'Eureka)
The more traditional, larger growing backyard lemon. Although can grow tall, regularly pruning encourages a bushier habit that is easier to maintain. Lemons are large with medium to thick skin with plenty of strong acidic juice. Great for cooking or on fish and chips. The best benefit is the Eureka fruits all year round, with the heaviest crop in winter, so you're nearly always guaranteed a lemon.

 MEYER LEMON (Citrus limon 'Meyer')
  Meyer is a smaller sized tree, growing to a maximum of 2.5 metres. It produces numerous crops of medium sized lemons throughout the year. The fruit has softer skin, turning a deep golden colour when ripe. The meyer contains an abundance of juice that is slightly sweeter, and containing less acid than other lemons. This lemon makes a fantastic pot specimen. The most cold tolerant citrus.  
   The Lemonade variety originated in Australia and was promoted by Engall"s Nursery, even making the front page of the Sydney morning Herald in the late eighties. It is now widely grown in backyards throughout Australia. The Lemonade, looks like a lemon, but can be eaten straight from the tree, just like a mandarin, or an orange. It's a lot sweeter than a lemon with a refreshing tang. It truly has to be tasted to be appreciated. It makes a refreshing drink when juiced. The tree is upright grower that produces an abundance of fruit, ripening mid winter. Be the envy of all your friends when they sample this unusual fruit, that can't be purchased at any fruit shop.  
 LISBON LEMON (Citrus limon 'Lisbon')
   The Lisbon lemon is the most commonly grown lemon in Australia. It is a very vigorous tree, up to 8m high. The Lisbon lemon produces very high quality lemons with a thin skin, high juice content, and high acidity. Once a year the Lisbon lemon produces a heavy crop of fruit in mid winter to early spring.

For lemons all year round we suggest the Eureka or Meyer lemon varieties.

If you have a possum problem try a Lisbon lemon, because its thorny nature tends to keep these little critters away.
