Our Advanced Citrus Range
Have a nice, big spot in the garden that needs filling? Or maybe you’d just like to harvest fruit a little sooner. If that’s the case, we’ve got a solid range of advanced citrus trees available most of the year.
Many are popular favourites and backyard classics, though occasionally we’ll grow some of our specialty range.
What Does Advanced Mean?
Our advanced trees are typically between 4 – 6 years old. They vary in height depending on the variety, but even our smallest or slowest growing varieties are usually a minimum of 90cm tall (not including the pot).
While these are still not fully mature, their branches are strong enough to start bearing regular fruit crops.
See below for some example photos. Please note, we maintain our trees regularly, so at certain times of year, our advanced stock may be smaller due to being pruned.
CUMQUAT CALAMONDIN
(x citrofortunella microcarpa)
Also known as Calamansi, Calamondin is a small, round fruit that’s quite sour if eaten fresh. It’s typically used for making jams and preserves.

LEMON EUREKA
(Citrus limon eureka)
Eureka lemons are the most popular backyard lemon in Australia. They’re a strong grower, with large fruit and plenty of juice.

LEMON LISBON
(Citrus limon lisbon)
Lisbons are the most common commercially grown lemon in Australia. A very vigorous tree and can be quite thorny.

LEMON MEYER
(Citrus limon meyer)
The Meyer Lemon is a smaller tree that can produce several crops a year, making it ideal for home gardens.

LIME KAFFIR
(Citrus hystrix)
The Kaffir lime tree is mostly used, not for its fruit, but for its leaves which provide the citrus flavour for a variety of different dishes.

LIME TAHITIAN
(Citrus latifolia)
Tahitian limes are often what you’ll find at grocery stores. They have good size, lots of juice, and are typically seedless.

Emperor is another popular commercial mandarin variety, thanks to its easy to peel skin and rich flavour.

Originating in Australia, the Imperial mandarin is a very popular commercial variety here and worldwide.

Often referred to as a ‘juicing orange’, Valencia oranges have an incredible amount of juice, and they store well on the tree.
