Description
Dwarf Arnold Blood Orange (Citrus sinensis ‘Arnold Blood’)
The Arnold Blood orange is a newer variety that was initially discovered by Mike Arnold in South Australia. It’s considered to be a true blood orange, with its typically orange to dark red, streaky flesh and great juice content and colour. The skin is orange and should take on a slight red blush which can deepen even further, depending on the weather. While this variety produces a pretty good red pigmentation in Sydney and coastal climates, it does tend to colour much better in cooler climates.
The tree itself is compact and bushy, with dwarf getting to around 1.5m at its full height. This makes it suitable for both planting directly in the ground, or living in a nice big pot.
