Description

(Calamondin ‘variegata’)

The Variegated Calamondin cumquat is a limb sport (or offshoot) of the usual Calamondin, but both its leaves and fruit are variegated, with a green and almost yellow mix. This variegation, along with the Calamondin’s usual dense foliage and small leaves, makes it a highly decorative tree that would be a perfect feature piece in a garden or pot. The fruit will also have a striped appearance and will ripen to orange depending on climate. It can still be eaten and used just like a regular Calamondin, of course, it just looks a little different.

They’re still a vigorous grower, reaching 4 – 6m tall in good conditions. They can easily be pruned to size and shape if they need to be kept a little smaller. Doing so will help their growth become denser and bushier, too, making them look even nicer.
